First I'm sure that a Festiva should probably only be towing body weight, But if you want to hook up a wiring loom for towing I would suggest buying a 4 lug loom from a auto store, then I would get a chilton or haynes manual to get the wiring diagram (or internet) then wire it up with **** connectors and electrical tape.

should do as the sub frame is the same
check with a tow bar fitting shop and remember you will need a modification plate attached when the tow bar is fitted
If you cannot be bothered with the mod plate then in the event of an accident your insurance is wiped and you could be charger under state laws
have the tow bar shop fit the unit , get the plate attached and get the wiring loom for the plug from them as well
As fitting a tow bar to the vehicle requires a modification plate to be fitted to keep it legal I suggest that you have the job done by accredited tow bar fitting specialists. They have the correct wiring loom and the plate to fix to the vehicle for the modification
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
if you fit the towbar yourself, you can kiss goodbye to your warranty.....peugeot are very strict on this.(assuming you are in Europe.)for USA,things may be different.anyway the wiring loom makers should put a diagram in with the wires....
The connectors for towing wire harnesses on foresters are generally on the passenger side, below the rear taillight inside the cargo space. some require pulling up the foam block that is between the spare tire compartment and the taillight. Check where you replace the tailights from inside the car, if there isn't a matching connector hanging out there, check around the spare tire compartment, see if you can remove the carpeted foam block next to the compartment and find the plug under there.
