The cat is gutted and welded. Yesterday I found a spark plug on top of the last coil pack loose. When I tightened it up the check engine light went off and the camaro stopped idoling hard and started puring like it should. So today after welding the cat converter I noticed that there is still hestitation when I shift gears. I think by gutting the cat it helped give it its power back, but it still bogs down. EGR replaced. Gutted cat-welded and it is not idoling hard anymore. After taking it up town and back home (Home is about 17 miles from town) i felt it start to mess up again, and sure as **** when I went to shift up it lost power and the check engine light started blinking again (what does this mean????). If anyone out there has had this problem or knows what I should do please help. I am still working on getting a code reader. I have done everything that the codes first indicated were wrong and now I am all out of ideas and I am very flustered...Thank you...
Trouble Code Conditions:
Engine runtime 3 seconds, engine speed change under 1200 rpm, and the PCM detected a misfire condition present in one cylinder during the 200 (Catalyst) or 1000 revolution (Emission) test range.Note: If the misfire is severe, the MIL will flash on/off on the 1st trip!
