When I put my pedal to the floor, it just revs it seems like that harder I push the peddle the slower it goes. It feels like it's not getting gas when I press the pedal all the way down.. also. Fuel pump is making loud noise when I shut the car off, I went through some puddles.

Catalytic converter could possibly be clogged. Are you getting any sulfer smell? especially when going up hills. Also if this is a vortec motor ( says VORTEC across the top of engine) they were famous for have the injector module leak in the intake.

If your engine is revving you can rule out engine trouble. Your problem probably has to do with your tranmission. You should have the 4L60e tranny. On my 99 Silverado, when trouble showed up it was to the tune of gear 1 driving. No other gear would engage. This is known as "limp mode". If your over drive light is flashing, it is your tranny.

SOURCE: car died out, there is

I would start with the fuel filter, and go from there. Maybe even run some fuel injector cleaner through it. After that comes the injectors themselves. Basically, start at the tank and work your way forward checking things. If you have any friends or an inexpensive mechanic that can check the codes, then go for it. It could save you alot of time and money. I hope this helps. God Bless and good luck.

Fuel pump relay is just above the brake booster, change your spark plugs and wires. Check crank sensor. And reset and re scan your car. Code 12. Means ur computer is scanning well. You have to wait . Each code flashes three times. 12 x 3 then all trouble codes x 3 each. Then 12 x 3 again. To conclude scan

The clutch pedal seems to be very flopy and is not going into gear easily

Can be broken spring on the cluch pedal in side the car, that hold the pedal all the way back for full amount of brake fluid to the slave cylender, can be checked by pulling the pedal all the way up before steping it to the floor and putting in to gear or just look up under the daschbord on the pedal. Can allso be to little brake fluid in container. To check the master cylender rubber, step on the pedal putt in gear with engine running and wait with pedal all the way to the floor, if the rubber is gone the car wil start to go after some time (1/2-1 min or less) To check the slave cylender rubber will be dune the same way and working same way but it will be leaking out and on the floor.

I need to get the clutch cable off a 1997 vw cabrio. How do i get the cable off the clutch pedal

After disconnecting the cable from the engine compartment remove the lower panel on the driver side. Press clutch peddle to floor then reach around the steering wheel column on the gas peddle side. you will feel a plastic guard. reach under guard you will feel the cable on top of clutch peddle. pull cable up and toward back of car.

Bleed them again, and don't leave the bleeder open, every time the person lets up on the pedal. close on the way down and open and close next time etc. Your letting air back into the system. Don't let the master run dry.

2003 Ford Ranger Pickup traveling down the road

Is there somthing hitting the gas pedal, like the floor mat? Or maybe something under the dash came loose and is getting caught under the brake pedal and pushing on the gas. Put the shifter in neutral if you get into a situation where going to hit something or someone. The engine has a rev limiter, to prevent it from over reving.

The gas peddle on my truck will get stuck after I turn it on and I havae to push harder on the peddle to get it going. Have owners experienced this problem, how can I fix it?

Clean the Throttle body intake. This is a known problem with our trucks. If you don't know what this is just google it. The butterfly valves will hang up on the black deposits and make the pedal stick at the top end. Super easy fix give it a shot. All you should need is some carb cleaner and scotchbrite pad. Cheers!

Car won't start

try this, if the car wont start push the pedal all the way to the floor and hold it ther while you crank. It sounds like you are flooding the car some how. Pushing the pedal to the floor puts the car into clear flood mode and it shuts off the fuel flow. try and see just a suggestion
