check the tranny fluid. if it's dark brown it and the filter should be changed. they can do this at most oil change places. but it could be as simple as some loose sensor wires. hope this helps.
don't forget to add 50% water and coolant to your resevoir tank of your coolant when it's low.

The switch is located under the hood drivers side look straight down under the brake reservior. It is mounted on the transmission manual in put shaft has two electrical connectors, put new switch on in same position as old, (put trans in the N position before femoving switch)

it may be the lights switch, but first check for a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box marked "Park". It is not the safety interlock, as that only affects the start circuit. If you have more questions, please let me know.
