it is VERY rare that an alternator will produce more voltage. normal alternator voltage range is about 13 to 15 volts. It is not impossible that it will go over 15 volts, but highly unlikely. As for the price and the exact job time, hard to tell since i don't use same currency and we don't have hyundai santros where i live, but looking at the model on google, i'd say the alternator is a pain to get out of the hood and requires alot of other parts to be removed just to get it in/out. As for the alternator itself, if the price is too high, you can always check for rebuilt ones or even have yours rebuilt. Usually when voltage is the problem, the part in fault on the alternator will be the regulator pack on the end of the alternator and in most cases can be changed easily, but finding the regulator pack to buy can be hard and sometimes will cost as much or more than a rebuilt alternator on some models. So best bet is to start by checking under the hood to see where the alternator is and how to get it out. If you can't see the alternator easily, chances are it'll be a pain to get out of there and take a few hours of labor. If so, then price would be justified. I've seen mazdas before that needed to have the engine moved a bit just to get the alternator out, or like renault 5 that the easiest way to get alternator out is to cut a hole in the floor on passenger side, cause if not the whole engine needed to be out of the car to change the alternator. So like i said, in some cases, changing something simple like an alternator can require ALOT of work.
If u are losing brake fluid that means there IS A BRAKE FLUID LEAK. It is a sealed system not supposed to lose any fluid. The cooling system sounds like it may have a clog in it somewhere or is your anti freeze mixing into the oil? Head gasket.

For user manual you will get it from hyundai but it is very long procedure, you have to visit any authorized service center and give application to them with sum amount of DD then they will send it to company then you will get it , may it will take months and more, better option is go to service center and request them to give santro manual book for a Xerox make a copy keep with you as a manual or you can go for new one.Thanks Yogesh
If a mechanic has told you the pump is faulty, then I am not sure what you are hoping anyone here can do to help you. I suggest you listen to your mechanic and replace the pump.
