You have probably connected the dash auxiliary wire with a wrong wire on the aftermarket radio. Such scenario should pop a fuse and probably kill the lights. Try disconnecting the radio and see if that solves ur problem. Then u probably need to rewire.

Testimonial: "how do i know wich one is the dash auxilary wire?"

SOURCE: new radio installed - now dash lights don't work

Most factory stereos are wired to the dash dimmer switch. Usually if the dash lights go out after an after market stereo installation, it is because the wire that originally went to the factory stereo is not used for after market stereos. Double check the fuses and ensure the wire that controlled the lights on the factory stereo is not grounding out on something.

SOURCE: 2001 dodge neon tail lights inop

looking at your schematics and , you say tail lights don't work , you didn't mention if front parking lights and license plate lights are working , they all come from the same source , a black /yellow wire , a good clue if front work and rear don't , please advise .if fronts work then you have a open circuit somewhere between junction S118 (near breakout for left headlamp) and rear sockets.

Tail, side and dash board lights not working

Not totally positive but I believe on your Toyota there are two places that fuses are located. You stated that all fuses under the bonnet are fine and I assume that means under the hood. The other place to check for a blown fuse would be under the dash instrument panel usually located directly above where your left knee would be while sitting in the drivers seat. Hope this is of some help. Good. Luck.

Tail lights and dash lights went out after installing aftermarket radio.

Sometimes when you bring something somewhere, the people can mess up.They don't want to get bad word out on their business,so they say nothing is wrong.I fixed my laptop before, and they broke plastic,on it.We brought it back and they said they would fix it.They used super glue! They said they would install new plastic, but lied. The point is,if they accidentally connected wrong wires,it can cause this stuff. If you smell smoke from it,bad sign.

Tail lights don't work and instrument panel won't light up on 2007 corolla

you blew a fuse. check fuses in both fuse boxes..
ahh yes, the IP cluster lamps are dad, but not the idiot warning lights
only the parking lights in the cluster are dead. right.?
and the park-tail, running lights and dash dim lights are all the same.
my guess three is a short on the TAIL fuse, the TAIL fuse blew
and took out: park-tail, running lights and dash dim lights are all the same.
it blew. most are marked tail even thought it runs side lamps and front parking lamps... TAIL is wrong, they are parking. lamps it truth.

I just bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla S, and my dash lights and tail lights wont come on. All the other lights work, such as the headlights, break lights, turn signals, four ways, front fog lights and...

the tail light issue could be just bad bulbs, check them with a meter ,, also, check the sockets for power to each contact point,, normally if the brake lights and flashers are working, the tail lights should too,, as far as the dash lights have you installed an after market stereo? If so a common problem is a wrong wire got grounded,The harness from the car to the factory radio has a wire for the dash lights that shows up as ground with the light off. When the lights are on the wire is 12V+. Check to see if you connected the ground from the new stereo to this wire. The radio will work perfect but everytime you turn thr park light on the fuse will blow...and the radio will continue to work. There should be a ground wire in the harness as well, ensure you connect the ground from the new stereo to this wire. there is a 15 amp fuse that blows, check them with a meter rather than by sight

Chevy S10. When my running lights are on everything works (except turn signals), front lights, tail lights brake lights. When I turn on my headlights turn signals still dont work everything comes on fine...

Check the grounds on your wiring.
If you have a trailer harness, make sure there are no shorts, or crusty connections

I replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket one and my tail lights and dash lights dont work now

Most likely you got the illumination wire for the stock radio grounded. The stock radio has lights in it that are connected to the dash lights to illuminate the dials of the radio. Most aftermarket stereos don't have a hook up for that. The wire may have got hooked up to ground. I would check the fuse to see if it's bad. Also you might want to undo the new stereo, replace the fuse, if it's bad, and check the wires for battery when the headlights are on.

Installed new CD deck in 07 Corolla, may have shorted something

first check the illumation fuse which to toyota its the panel fuse, check if it is blown. if not take the aftermarket wire harness u wired in with the radio harness and disconnect the orange wire (illumation wire) and see if u have lights again. sometimes the aftermarket orange wire won't work with toyota vehicles. good luck

Headlights turned on instrument lights and gauges dont work everything fine until radio installed on s-10 pickup

i bet it was an aftermarket radio and you cut the plug off, well the dash lights run through the radio so youll have to get a plug in adapter and put the old plug back on then wire the adapter plug it in and everything will work if you threw it away then you will have to get a wiring diagram and fix your wiring
