Possible but unlikely. Code p0330 refers to knock sensor(KS) 2 bank 2-circuit malfunction==causes --wiring --KS--ECM. Replace the KS. The engine light is telling you that there is a problem with sensors in the ECM and that is what will be affecting the performance . Shifting is the area of the TCM( transmission control module ) so have that checked out as well

I have 96 Toyota avalon code P0330

When the engine "knocks" there is an excessive amount of NOx that is released. When trouble code P0330 is set, this means that the knock sensor 2 in Bank 2 is not operating properly.

2010 cobalt code po327 .have put on new sensor. light still comes on

knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged. The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor on Bank #1 is generating a low output voltage (perhaps under 0.5V), then it will trigger a P0327 DTC. This P0327 code may show up intermittently or the Service Engine light may be lit constantly. Other knock sensor related DTC codes include P0325, P0326, P0328, P0329, P0330, P0331, P0332, P0333, and P0334.

I have an 02 jeep liberty stalls after warm and is throwing multiple knock sensor codes p0325, p0330 help

P0325, P0330 are both knock sensor codes that are detected by your ECU. Considering that you are showing both codes indicates that your model trim level is either "Limited" or "Renegade" that will have a knock sensor for 2 banks (V6). Knock sensor errors will change the timing of your engine ignition and can lead to a drop in performance or worse, lead to engine stalling in order to save other components of your engine.
The common solution to remove knock sensor codes is to have the sensors replaced by an authorized mechanic; sometimes shorted electrical leads to the sensors are also a cause for the codes. Replacing the knock sensors will remove the prompting of P0325, P0330 and expect to find another fault as engine stalling is not always present with knock sensor error codes.
Hope this helps.

What is ECU

The knock sensor is commonly located on the engine block and essentially listens for improper combustion when the engine is running. Engine knock, or spark knock, is the noise created when the combustion process is erratic or abnormal. Code p0330 indicates that the knock sensor has picked up a frequency outside of the factory-set frequency range for the combustion chamber. The computer uses information from the knock sensor to adjust the engine ignition timing to keep combustion within the safe zone of operation. In general, when the knock sensor code is set, the computer will put the engine into limp mode to help prevent engine damage.

GMC 4.3L DTC P0330 flashing MIL

P0330 - Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2)
A knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged. The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor wasn't operating properly, so that it was always indicating a knock, the engine computer's response may have been to change the ignition timing on your engine. Knock sensors generally bolt into or thread into the engine block. This P0330 code may show up intermittently or the Service Engine light may be lit constantly. Other knock sensor related DTC codes include P0325.

Symptoms: You may notice drivability problems including a lack of power and perhaps some hesitation. There may also be other symptoms.

Causes: A code P0330 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
The "B" knock sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
There is a wiring short/fault in the knock sensor circuit

Possible Solutions:
Check the resistance of the knock sensor on bank 2 (compare it to factory specs)
Check for broken/frayed wires leading to the sensor
Replace the knock sensor on bank 2

Hope helps.
