Multironic Gearbox My audi a3 2.0lfsi is a beuty, but when i drive her after awhile she changes down on the gear box hard and also up at times also on selection. what could be the cause. how do i solve this

Hi i had the same problem with my a4 fsi sport auto gear box i had to have the gear box changed seems like a common problem with the a4 auto gear box.

I need a computer box as my audi it driving with only third gear,auto number 01n 927 733cf

try using less gas when pulling away for awhile to see if you get any improvement...(the gearbox is computer controlled and may be shifting to your style of driving)could be wrong though.....

Your audi is fitted with a fuzzy logic gearbox, it will change according to your driving style.TRY THIS,put into 1st and without touching gas pedal, let the car accelerate to top gear,stop Then using onle 1/3rd gas pedal do it again.then using 2/3rds do it again.then only using the minimum pedal req accelerate to max legal limit.(try not to use brake pedal,let the car slow down itself,until you have to)then drive as normal, it will feel like a different car.

It sounds like who ever rebuilt it forgot to line up the gears in the gear box. You might see if they can redo it for ya, tell'em to take there time and slow down, an you should be alright.

the problem sounds like mine i had all the fluid and filter in gearbox changed it sorted the problem out

After a jump start because of no electrical power, the car will run rough for several days (expected) while it adjusts to your driving habits. I'm not sure about the gears, but I'd try to drive with it like that for a few days and see if it returns to normal.
