Hello shaukathn: The factory recommended service interval to replace the timing belt. Is 90,000 miles or 144841.2 kilometers. This is a belt and not a chain driven engine. Please rate the reply as this lets us know you received the correct information. Thank You for using FixYa. Roger

How do I know when I need to get a new timing belt for my Mitsubishi Adventure 2005 model? Previously someone else owned this car so I am not sure if that person had the timing belt replaced already or...

timing belt replacement is dependant on mileage usually around 100000 km. A timing belt can break without warning and the result is an expensive engine rebuild. If in doubt replace it depending on mileage

Does the 93 have. A timing belt or chain?

Ask your local auto parts store, they can look it up. It may depend on your specific engine, the 2003 Honda Accord used a chain on the 4 cylinder but a belt on the V6.
The belt should (usually) be replaced every 60000 miles (100000 km), while the chain should last the life of the engine (150000+ miles).
On many engines, if the belt breaks, it can cause expensive damage to the valves and/or pistons, so you want to make sure you replace it as scheduled.

Timing chain or belt?

The 2002-2006 Camry received the next generation 2.4L 4-cylinder engine (model 2AZ-FE), which combines decent power with excellent fuel economy. This engine does not have a timing belt, it has a chain that does not need to be replaced.
The second choice is very smooth and powerful 3.0-liter 24-valve all-aluminum V6 engine.
Starting from 2004, the 3.3-liter V6 DOHC VVT-i engine is available on SE V6 model.
Both, the 3.0L and 3.3L V6 engines have a timing belt that must be replaced at certain interval

1998 toyota camry le 4 cylinder How do you set the

Just make sure the timing belt is on properlyy, lining up the cam and crank in proper position to each other. The engine willstart when fully assembled because the electrical has not be altered. If it has a crank position sensor , be sure to put it back on after cleaning it and the connector.

Hi some of them have a belt but yours being the M43 engine is a chain, the only thing to listen for with them is chain slap or an rattling around the chain area, a bit of research on the M43 engine also shows that the chain should be changed after 100000 miles as they become weak, Just joined here and found this unsolved i know its a bit late but hope the extra info helps
