2004 Chevy Impala Keyless Entry System Stopped Working

About 2 weeks ago the keyless entry system just stopped working. I can't find a manual that troubleshoots that system. I think it's a relay, but which one? It's not listed in the fuses and relays. Help! I have the same problem, and I have replaced the battery which did not work. Today I noticed that inside the key fob it says to hold down the lock and unlock button together for seven seconds near the car after replacing the battery, which I did and it still does not work. It is very annoying!

2008 HHR Remote Starter not working

Is this an issue with all 2008 HHR remotes??? Highly doubtful , probably the vehicles keyless entry system . Taking the vehicle to a qualified repair shop an having the keyless entry system checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . Do you know what a DTC is ?
The keyless entry system is a vehicle entry device. The keyless entry system is used in conjunction with the body control module (BCM) to remotely activate certain vehicle features. Keyless entry will lock/unlock the doors, or release the rear compartment lid when a corresponding button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed. This is accomplished by the transmitter sending a radio frequency to the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR). The RCDLR interprets the signal and activates the requested function via a serial data message to the BCM. A low transmitter or vehicle battery or radio frequency (RF) interference from aftermarket devices, such as 2-way radios, power inverters, computers, etc., may cause a system malfunction. High RF traffic areas may also cause interference that could lead to a malfunction. Keyless entry allows you to operate the following components:
• Door locks
• Liftgate lock
• Remote rear doors (Panel only)
• Vehicle locator/panic alarm
• Illuminated entry lamps
• Remote vehicle start
The keyless entry system has the following components:
• Keyless entry transmitters
• Keyless entry antenna
• 2 Way Advanced Remote Start RCDLR
• BCM

Guessing will not fix this .

I have a 2003 Vw Jetta Gt. My keyless entry remote stopped working a couple of days ago. I have 2 so I tried to use the other one but it didn't work either. I changed the batteries in both and I also...

KEY WORDS to search for are
2003+VOLKSWAGEN+remote+receiver...

or "keyless+module"

I only got hits back from eBay (& AMAZON)...
which would indicate this is a fairly ROBUST part...
(TYPICALLY: really popular parts = high failure rate).
((in my opinion))

No direct
(part number) hits...!!

Look here... Appears to be inside the center console
(surmised without proper documentation)

Looks like
VW VOLKSWAGEN OEM Phaeton Keyless Entry Receiver for Key Fob Remote...

also...
VW VOLKSWAGEN OEM Phaeton Keyless Entry Receiver for Key Fob Remote...

Possibly AMAZON... (use your own module number)

2001 Chevy cavalier Z24 keyless entry not working.

You should have it scaned to see if you have any codes. It has a RCDLR (remote control door lock reciever) this is the module that recieves the signal from the fobs. If it has a problem then the system will not work. If it has to be replaced then a dealer will have to program it for you. Good Luck

Hyundai Accent Keyless entry failiure - entry without alarm?

You might try Opening the Door and Opening the Hood and Disconnecting the Battery. This should reset the System. If this is the Factory Keyless Entry, There is a Relay and a Fuse for this. Check them and see if they are Bad or Blown.

2004 Chevy Impala Keyless Entry System Stopped Working

Do the power door locks work when used with the switches located on the interior doors? If so, then it sounds to me like you got a problem with your key fob. Probably a dead battery in it.

Sounds like you need a new keyless entry box, but forst try resetting the computer, by taking the positive battery cable off for 10 mins.

If that does not work then seek geting the box for the keyless entry replaced.
