Need car stereo lock code mitsubishi spider eclipse

I have stereo code, but stereo is locked. i saw a solution you guys suggested--leave the key on and the radio on for one hour then the lock mode will change to just needing the code. will this work? or will it cause more problems?

I don't remember the procedure for entering the code but I'm pretty sure I can get it by calling a dealer

I've read that will work ok. The radio will change from locked to being ready for the code. Make sure you know the procedure for entering the code.

I bought a new ignition for my Mitsubishi Eclipse and now it won't start. How can I program it myself if I don't have original keys.

How to Program a Mitsubishi Key Fob
  1. Hold down the lock and unlock button at the same time. The lights will flash three times.
  2. Let go of each button.
  3. Push the unlock button until the light flashes two times. This will sync the car and your Mitsubishi key fob.
  4. Test the key fob to ensure it is functioning as intended.

And for the Security System. Make sure key is in the ignition.

To reset the alarm on the Mitsubishi Eclipse You have two options. You can pop the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable, then leave it off for about 30 minutes. This will make the power in the CPU drain, which will force the system to reset itself the next time it comes on.

Stereo is locked up on me... Can i get the code

Yes You can just take out the radio and right down the s/n # and or letters, Then take that to the mitsubishi dealer near you and let them look it up. If you bought the car used like i bought mine some one might have put the number on the radio. But you need to take it out to find out.

I lost my final key to my eclipse 95, wondering what i have to do, get a new key( is it possible? ), or change all the locks ? and if so, where do i get new locks

You can get a new key at the dealership, your going to need the ownership and the vin number to the car. They can get the key code to cut a new for you so you don't have to replace all the locks. Good luck and keep me posted.

Need stereo code for a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse

Write down the VIN and go into a dealership. If you can prove you're the owner (regi. papers, etc), they'll give it to you. If you're on file with any dealership (you've had your Eclipse in there previously), they can give you the code too. If you've had something at a local repair facility done that required the battery to be removed, they should have used a memory saver device/keep-alive device to prevent the radio locking you out. In this case, they kind of owe it to you to call the dealer and get the code (dealerships and local shops usually have a decent relationship with each other, believe it or not).
