I think shortly after I changed the batter (the battery was going dead) on my 2007 Lexus RX350, the remote started doing this thing where it will not lock the doors. It will only unliock them. I also cannot lock the doors from the driver's door. At first the whole door's buttons wouldn't work, but I got the power window switches and seat memory settings to work. Now I cannot seem to lock the doors with the master lock switch, nor can I lock them with the remote. I have to manually lock every door by flipping the lock to locked. When I click the lock button on the remote it does arm the alarm. This leads me to believe there is somethign screwy goign on with some point in the locking mechanism in the driver door. Any help?

PRESS AND HOLD IN THE TRIPOMETER RESET BUTTON. WITH IT IN, TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION WITHOUT STARTING THE ENGINE. THE DISPLAY WILL COUNT DOWN IN HASH MARKS FROM 6 TO 0. AFTER IT REACHES 0 RELEASE THE TRIPOMETER RESET, TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION. ONCE YOU RESTART THE LIGHT SHOULD BE OFF.

Try using the button on the door. Remember you have a smart key so whenever you approach the vehicle and put your hand in the door handle it automatically unlocks the driver's door. To verify your vehicle is locked, lock your doors and walk away from the vehicle. Leave your key away from your vehicle and THEN approach it again. Your vehicle should still be locked. If it is opened, go to your local Lexus dealership. They will be able to correct the problem for you.

if you turn the key twice it should unlock and lock all doors until you can figure out the remote/lock switch problem.sounds like a door lock actuator problem on drivers door.I would start there.
