My ac light is flashing on 1996 lexus es300
If that light is flashing, you have low prssure in your AC system or the compressor clutch (electromagnetic) won't kick-in.
Unless your belt is very loose or is wet or greasy and slipping the most likely cause is the compressor is locked up and needs replaced. It is a good idea to also replace the reciever dryer and flush the ac system to remove contaminats.

This will sound crazy but it has solved the problem more times than you would believe: give the dash board a and area around it a good wack with your fist. Often the connection to the light is what starts to fail not the bulb.

I just changed the cabin filter of my ES300. I found the instructions on the manual, under airconditioning and audio. It's pretty easy to do. I bought the filter from Kragen's for $21.95.

My Son has a 95 es300, the amp for it is located under the front passenger seat. The easiest way to access it is to remove the 4 bolts holding the seat down, and remove the seat. Takes about 5 minutes

You can clear the check engine light by disconnecting the battery and leaving it overnight. This will only shut off the light but will not reset the system
