It needs a new pruge valve. The purge valve is sticking open allowing fuel vapors into the intake manifold causing a rich hard start condition.

Hello there

You MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow) is dirty and most likely on its way out. The next time this happens just unhook the connector and you should be able to drive the car in safe mode.

Hope this helps. Please don't forget to rate me.

Thanks

a bad crank sensor can cause this. shuts off while going down road, and will start about 10 min, later with no problems runs fine until it quits again. hope this helps,

2009 Hyunda Santa Fe stalls while driving

I had a similar problem with my Santa Fe. It occurred intermittently but after I turned the steering wheel to the left. After much screwing around by the dealer and trying to baffle me with BS we heard about a strange solution. I am not a mechanic but the problem somehow related to a spring in the Airbag on the steering wheel. Changed the spring and "Stone the flame'n crows" problem solved. Never had a problem since.

Keeps on cutting out about every 5 miles. leave for 15 mins and it will start up again. it seems like theres a lack of diesal going to the engin.

fuel injector was clogged- up, at the fuel lines, try fuel injector cleaner and let the car run for few minutes to eliminate all the elements and burned- out exiting at your exhaust. also replace your spark plugs right away if you feel your car is jerking or shaking.

My 2002 hyundai santa fe just stops, when im driving with my foot on the gas it stalls and loses all power then if i wait 5-10 min it starts back up

more than likely the crank sensor is the fix. once the engine cools down the sensor also cools .
if you could take it out right away and shoot freon on it and put it back in it would start wright up.
