I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra with the Intelligent Key. The battery in the Intelligent key is going bad, and I haven't had a chance to replace it. Every time I go to use the actual key to open the door, though, the alarm goes off. How do I enable myself to use the actual key on my car without making the alarm go off?

Hi,
Some key fobs are coded and if this is so you will need to take it to your Nissan dealer with all details of the vehicle i.e. Log book/title and vin number proof of ownership. There may be a small charge for this.
Good Luck!

I had this question initially. However, the Nissan Sentra (starting in 2007) has an electric Power Steering. It DOES NOT need any power steering fluid. The electric power steering is suppose to give you better fuel efficiency and lower maintenance cost.

Open the trunk and locate the trim door that covers the back of the drivers side tail light assembly. Open the door and locate the bulb holder. The bulb holder can be removed from the tail light assembly housing by turning counter clockwise 1/4 turn. Holding the bulb holder in one hand, press gently on the bulb and turn then bulb counter clockwise to remove. Replace with a combo bulb and reverse proceedure to re-install.
