I have an 09 Accord LXP with AT transmission. It does the same thing since we drove it off the lot. Doesn't seem to bother me much, but figured you would want to know that it isn't just you.

I'll admit right away that I cannot solve this for you, but I can tell you your problem would bother me too. New vehicles should not "clank" when they go into ANY gear. Sounds to me like something might just be loose but who knows, right?

The beauty of owning a new vehicle, my friend, is THEY have to figure it out & fix it under warranty. Call your favorite Honda dealer and set up an appointment!

Ciao!

Check engine light came on today honda accord v6 2003 at 97k miles. car makes a thump sound when put into reverse hot or cold. sometimes when i turn and accelerate i can reproduce this feeling moving...

Take your car to a mechanic or your local auto parts superstore and have them read/scan the codes for the reason for the check engine light. A good place to start.

Hello. Recently on my 2009 CRV I have noticed some slight diffrences in the transmission. Lately I can feel every single shift, I can even feel it shifting into 4rth and 5th gear. I can't hear anything...

by the sound of it i could be a problem with 1 of the driveshafts maybe a u-joint. have it double checked at another shop. My knowledge of those CRV's reminds me that the bushings thar hold up the rear end of that suv are also prone to wear . temperature can also cause unwanted noises. maybe an oil spray me b the cure u need.

Hello, my friend is having a problem with his 2009 honda accord, maybe someone can help. His car is only 6 moths old but lately when he shifts into reverse there is about a second to second and a half...

I am pretty sure the gear shift is cable connected so there may have been some stretch in the cables. I have no idea how to adjust them but I wouldn't think the gearbox has suffered unless it is low on oil. At 6 months old Honda should sort it for free.

2004 Jeep Wrangler - Clunking Noise when shifting out of Park

It could be lash in the differential which is normal, but it could also be a loose u-joint in the driveshaft. Check the rear driveshaft u-joints.

2002 Chevy Silverado clunking noice when shift from 2wd to 4hi

It is somewhat Normal Depending on how Loud the Clunking is. This is a Common Complaint on the Chevy 4x4's. I have verified this through the Dealerships here in Oklahoma and they all say the Same thing But, I am with you, They should go into 4x4 without that Clunk for as much as we pay for them.
