U should replace the receiver drier, also called the accumulator, replace the high side line fixed orifice as well, you will need to drain the old compressor and measure the oil as well and add 6 ounce's to that amount you measured from the old ac compressor. and of course you will need approx four 14 ounce cans of R134

SOURCE: AC compressor bad

If the compressor has gone bad again, it may be because the system didn't get flushed properly when it was first replaced or oil was not added. Before being done again, it must be flushed. This can only be done using special tools and materials. If you have that done, then you must replace the receiver/dryer, associated seals, refill the system with right amount of compressor oil, the compressor of course and then recharge the system. This is all assuming there are no leaks in the lines or the evaporator and condenser.

AC compressor

that depends on what happened to the last one.
if the last one , broke up inside it then contaminates the whole system, insuring the new compressors early death.
at the least, a compressor, receiver /dryer. (my be the expansion valve)
1: must be done in a shop, so they can capture the old freon.
ie: Ozone damage, ever heard of that?
2: then replace all bad parts.
3: next, pull a hard vacuum on the system (removes all water)
4: adds freon by weight.
5: test system for full performance and correct any deficiences.

Bypass ac compressor 2006 saturn vue

I doubt it but I would have to see it in person to say for sure.
If nothing is in the way between the pulley before and the pulley after the compressor, you could use a shorter belt. How much shorter would be something you would have to try to measure.
On the rare occasions when a vehicle comes without ac, the factory puts a dummy pulley in the place of the compressor. I think all Saturn Vue cars had ac.
You say the compressor won't turn, but you really mean the clutch on the compressor ??

Need to replace serpentine belt without ac on a 2007 chev impala ac compressor bad need to bypass. can this be done

As far as I know there is no idler by-pass pulley for that car available yet..So,no.
However the compressor may be ok. If the A.C. is off the compressor doesn't spin, the only
moving part is the pulley on the end, and it's bearing. I suspect it is that outer bearing that is bad,
not the whole compressor.
A good shop can pull that bearing and install a new one (A GOOD shop could do it
in the car and not even loose the freon!)
Hope this sheds some light.

I have a 2006 dodge pick-up with a 5.9 deisel . My

Compressors do go bad, and if the clutch goes out, you are better off getting the whole thing replaced. Make sure to check for leaks. They are bad about the evaporator core leaking.

Ac clutch going out on 93 dodge dakota

If the clutch is noisy from a bad bearing then don't drive far,if the compressor clutch pulley bearing seizes up it will freeze the pulley and the belt will burn off, and you are stuck, if you mean the anything else besides this drive it.
