It may well be a cold start injector/air meter/sensor at fault.
Don't waste time and money changing things to cure the problem. The cheapest way is to take the car for a diagnostic check. They should be able to identify the fault immediately. You can then save money by rectifying the fault yourself ..

don't know where you are located but assume you have an advanced auto or autzone near by if you drive the car there you can use there scan tool for free and retrieve the code from the check engine light and pinpoint your problem. could be alot of problems but that will tell you exactly what thye issue is.

SOURCE: ON MY 2007 CHEVY EQUINOX

You will need to get your car scanned,in scanning you will retrieve the error code.As per the error code it will indicate which part is causing the problem. At autozone service center its absolutely free to get your car scanned,.------------ The check engine light comes ON.This light comes on when there is code stored in your cars computer also called EC,.This check engine light is indicating to get the car scanned. --------- The stabilitrak light is warning you that you have a problem with your anti lock brake system. But its always not possible that brake system needs inspected. Most of the time getting the codes retrieved will point towards the faulty part, and getting that part replaced solves this problem.----------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

1998 corolla dies when idling runs ok driving

Engine stalls cold or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If the above cleaning doesn't cure your issues you need to have the computer controlled automatic idle speed control system diagnosed and repaired by a dealer or electronic engine control repair shop.

I need the drive cycle for a 2002 Toyota corolla?

About a half hour of freeway driving should do. You just want the computer working in closed loop operation for awhile, long enough to have everything working, all gear shifting gone through, and the engine running for a bit at normal operating temperature. If that doesn't work, try two or three shorter drive cycles. As long as the engine is warmed up, the computer is in closed loop operation (using the sensors to perform engine management), that is basically one drive cycle Hope this helps you.

I jus bought a 96' cadillac deville and when i was driving home the "Servie engine soon " light came on and under the MPH gauge the "service transmission" flashed across the dash ! i also noticed that when...

It sounds like the transmission oil could be low as it doesn’t have to be down much for your type of problem to occur.
To check, the oil should be warm with the engine running and the transmission in Neutral. The level on the dipstick should be between the Low and Full Marks. There is about 1 Pint difference between the marks.
