Im not sure what vehicle you have but check connections and wire frays on the sensor cables or if teeth are missing on the sensor.. They look like little sprockets that spin with the rotors.

There is no "switch" to turn off the ABS light... The light is on for a reason, to tell you there is a problem with the Antilock Breaking System... You need to have the computer scanned to see what codes it's throwing so you know what to fix. After you fix it, you reset the light (turn it off) by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. If you reset the light without fixing the problem, the light will come back on.
And if you don't fix the ABS, just be more careful when driving as if you have to stop quick, you car will break differently without the antilock system.

You can clear the code, if indeed the problem is fixed, by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds. If the light reappears, then most likely the abs wiring is not fixed or there's another abs problem.

Yes you may fix it. You probably have a problem with a speed sensor. This sensor is used to determine wheel speed for the abs controller. The wet weather may have cleaned the sensor off enough to start working again. It is easier to repair if you get the code that was turning on the abs light and it will tell you what sensor is causing the problem. then you should be able to fix it yourself. chances are the light will be back.
The ABS light will stay on only when a problem exists. Once repairs have been completed and no problems exist the ABS light will go off on it's own. Take the car back to where you had the work done and have them fix it. It shouldn't cost you anything. The only to get rid of an ABS light is to fix the problem. I would get it scaned and see what it would cost for parts. As long as you don't have a red brake warning light then your base brakes are working. If you have both lights then get it fixed soon, before you have an accident. Good Luck

The light is on because there is a fault in the ABS system, while the light is on the system is disabled, as soon as the ABS problem that turned the light on is fixed the light will go out, have a self test run of the ABS control module for a trouble code, this will steer you in the right direction to fix the issue.
