Front driver side wheel is making a squeaking sound when wife was driving. She said it sounded as if a can was dragging. I also heard the squeaking sound, and pushed down on the front driver side of the car, and the that was where the squeaking noise was when I compressed the front of the car.

could be a front hub bearing going bad have heard that before

if your car is front wheel drive it could be your cvs that go to the trans,do you have the orginal tires on it or did you put bigger ones ? didyou do any changes/ then this noise started.thats the best I can do without me looking at it.

Throughout my experience with Toyota's I have found that several times the hubcaps have made some weird noises. Try removing your hubcaps and driving your vehicle. If the noise still persists please let me know and I can ask u some questions and try to help you with your problem.

if the van has over 40,000 miles on it i would change the drive belt and make sure it has enough power steering fluld in it and check the transmission fluid as well

sounds like the struts or possibly the ball joints,if your talking about the bushings in the front sway bar or the control arm bushings yes they do go bad. you can try to spray some wd 40 or other spray lubricate to see if that cures the problem
