Open the DIS [Driver Information System] with the car running. The screen should flash all the annoying messages. Press the "Fuel" button repeatedly until the messages clear and it displays your fuel used. The press the Eng button until it shows your Oil Life, then hold down the reset button for 10 seconds. Then press Eng again till it shows your Transmission Fluid Life, and hold down the reset button for 10 seconds. As for the coolant indicator, make sure the reservoir is filled to the appropriate level. If you still get the Low Coolant message, check to make sure the coolant level sensor is plugged in (its on the reservoir) and if it is, then it may need replaced or cleaned.

Extended cab Tahoe truck, 4.3l. Why is brake light on I/P dimly lit?

Possible brake fluid level warning sensor problem in the master cylinder. Disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor in the master cylinder. If the light goes out, suspect the sensor. If the light continues to illuminate dimly, suspect a short to power in the harness on that circuit. Further diagnostics will be required to locate the problem

I have a 1995 dodge ram 2500 cummins the abs and brake lights are on and the cruise control is not working? I have replaced the master cylinder and the speed sensor in the rear axle

The warning lights mean there should be a trouble code stored in the body computer. I would start there.
When the ABS system is inop it may prevent the cruise from working too. Sometimes a hydraulic brake system failure will turn the ABS light on too. After repairs you would need to scan the system to turn the light off with most vehicles.
Are the brake lights in the rear of the truck staying on ?

Low brake fluid light on

Sounds like you have yourself a defective part. If not, check the float in the master cylinder to see if it sticks.

You have to use a scanner and pull the code out that is causing the check engine light to come on. whatever code/codes you find are probably related to vsc light.

My daughters 2005 4 door elantra has a brake warning light that won't go out.the car was examined and she was told that every thing with that system was working fine and he couldn't say why the warning...

The brake fliud resorvoir may have a sensor on it that is at fault. Also if the brake pads are getting very tin the light will stay on for the brake fluid is low if not filled. Fill the fluid up and see if the light goes off. The sensor if equipt will have two wires for a conection

Low brake fluid light remains on even though fluid level is at the max mark on reservoir

was it ever low? if so then the float inside the reservoir is most likely stuck down causing it to keep the light on. if not the float switch may be bad.

The e brake light on dash stayes on

Check brakes to make sure that they are not low then check brake fluid level if low add fluid and the light should go off. If it doesn't check the float/sensor on the inside of master cylinder and make sure that it is floating and make sure that wire plug on master is plug in for sensor to read. If all of this don't work check and make sure that emergency brake is not engaged or not hanging up. engage and release to make sure it works. If all of this don't work then you will need professional help. Good Luck
