Toyota Corolla 2005 check engine light and airbag light are flashing. This is happening intermittently, they are sometimes both flashing and then the revs drop at idle, and the air conditioning will not click on when the lights are flashing. When the lights are not flashing, the air conditioning is working fine. As soon as the car is moved forward, the check engine and airbag light begin flashing again. Have tried taking to mechanic however code reader does not produce any codes at all.

SOURCE: 03 toyota corolla engine light on again!

Without seeing your vehicle on my scan tool, it is hard to see what is exactly going on.
But, please allow me to share the following info with you:
The P-0171 code relates to the Mass Airflow Sensor. This is a VERY common code with the Corolla product.Your dealer *** should *** have inspected it for dirt contamination, and cleaned it, if it was indeed dirty.
Secondly, The P-0125 relates to Oxygen Sensor number ONE. If your dealer replaced the wrong sensor; (#2), you can expect to have problems.
My advice: unplug, remove, inspect & clean the MAF sensor. Ensure that the air filter is clean.
This should help you quite a bit.

SOURCE: obd code p0440 for check engine light on 2000 Toyota Corolla

p0440 code means that the evap system has a leak. This could be caused by a bad or improperly installed gas cap. Either that or the purge solenoid has failed or the canister is plugged and not working properly.

SOURCE: 2005 Toyota Corolla CE P0741 error code.

This fix comes from the service manager of a Toyota dealer, he is a online expert named Toyota Ed.

Toyota is aware of this situation. Production changes have ocurred to correct this condition.

Here is what you do: Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer. Tell them that you have a P-0741 code, and you want them to apply "Toyota Technical Service bulletin TC008-04" to your vehicle. They will perform several tests, and if you vehicle is lower than 5 years old, and less than 60, 000 miles, they will fix it for free. This TSB is covered by the Powertrain Warranty. Additionally, Thay may replace the ECU with an updated unit, and that particular warranty is in effect for 96 months or 80,000 miles.

This will definatly cure your issue

SOURCE: 1994 Buick Lesabre service engine soon light. Can't read code.

I found several shops in my area, Albany, NY that had the older code readers. It worked fine, and cost me $30.00. It showed a bad O2 sensor that I replaced myself. I suggest you go to a reliable shop. Auto Zone/Advance etc.. do not have the right code readers. Joe

2005 toyota camry indicator lamp came on while driving. What does this mean and would it be expensive to fix.

What indicator lamp? There are several. ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKE LIGHT, AIRBAG LIGHT, SEAT BELT LIGHT, MAINTENANCE LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, OIL LIGHT, ETC.

most of these will store codes when they turn on. All of those except the check engine light will require a high end scan tool to retrieve the codes. The check engine light codes can be retrieved by an OBDII code reader. You can purchase them for under $100 or you can swing buy your local parts store. Often they will pull codes for free.

Once you know the codes you'll have a better idea of what needs to be done.

I have a 2005 toyota Coroola LE. The passager airbags doesnot show off and airbag icon appears on display. We need to fix to sell.

sorry dealer only as for the airbag software even on american market versions are all encrypted ,this is too make work for the dealers and expect a new computer and all new airbags costing around 2500 euros as this vehicle is 10 yrs old and at this age any fault must have all the airbags renewed ,europeon directive from last year and no doubt they will apply the same law at the dealers saying its a factory directive ,What you do is to remove the dash and cut the printed circuit to the relevant bulb then either connect to teh oil light switch or use a diesel engine pre heater relay that incorperates a timer and then connect this to teh light so it goes off after 20 seconds or so ,but i havent told you of this constructive engineering repair(COWBOY TYPE BODGE)

2005 toyota corolla airbag light problem

Sounds like your mechanic installed something per your request. Unfortunately, you have to order the specific part for your vehicle or the light will stay on because the vehicle computer is not detecting a secong airbag.
