1992 Nissan Pathfinder. It use to be when you unlocked the driver's side, all locks unlocked, including the back hatch. Now, when you unlock and EVEN when you hit unlock on the panel inside of the door, nothing happens. All other doors stay locked. This means, we cannot open the back hatch. We replaced the fuse but that didn't do anything. Please help! Thanks!

go inside, lift on handle, then beat the **** out of the door pounding it like your trapped in it trying to get out. latch mechanism is probably corroded and froze shut. once open, spray with wd40 and work the lever a lot. then get door panel off to see if handle is broken inside

SOURCE: drivers side door won't open

I have a 2003 nissan altima and the door has woked fine all night and now the door will not open from the inside. It is just a broken spring?

Dome light only works with the passenger side open. I took the switches out and put them on the drivers side and it did not work either also the dome light does not come on when the back hatch is open...
sounds like you may have a broken wire where the wiring goes through the rubber trunking between A post and door may also same prob on rear hatch

Sounds a lot like the factory passive alarm system is seriously on the fritz, sometimes this can actually be resolved by resetting the passive system by locking and unlocking the car from the passenger side with the key. Although this could be a more serious issue with the system needing a more specialized look

2005 nissan murano door lock
The Body Control Modual is not recieving a feed back from the passenger door lock confirming the unlock command and is therefore not energizing the rear hatch. There is no physical lock on the hatch - just yes or no for power from the BCM.

There is a little plastic tab that helps to unlock the rod. If the plastic tab is broken, it won't unlock the door/rod. The best suggestion is to look on craigslist or hit your local junkyard and see if the plastic tabs are intact on one of the vehicle. You can use the models from 1986-1994.

Otherwise, you can lock the door before you close it, hold the handle up. Then, when you need to unlock, you will have to unlock with the key, the back hatch, crawl in and unlock the driver's side lock to pop all the rest.

I have a 2004 Murano. I opened the small hatch and with a screw driver and someone on the outside managed to open the hatch. The problem appears to be bent pieces inside. After straightening them out and using a good silicon spray, mine works again. It should be lubricated quite frequently.

I just bought a 93 nissan pathfinder xe-v6 and it needs a little work the power locks dont lock or unlock, i dont know what bulbs to put in the by the rear view, the window washer for the rear window works...
I have a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder too and it does the same problem when you push the locks down it sounds like a relay in the back of the Vehicle and when the weather is cold they work fine, finally found that the lock of the hatch is bad and this is causing the problem all the locks should to be closed in order to automatically lock or unlock, just clean it up and put oil, it worked for me.
