2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer stalls while driving. All instrument lights come on. Does restart. (1st time it happened, it started right back up. 2nd time, started only after it sat for 1/2 hr.) 2 different repair garages hooked it up to their computer and neither were able to identify a problem. Any advice on what to have checked next would be greatly appreciated.

I had exect same proplem but after several times of stalling or not starting the engine light light up and there was a code for the mechanic to diagnose, I was told it was the Torque converter & solinoid (By Midas) and after $1,300.00 They only replaced the solinoid body? and charged the same price, and the car is still not starting sometimes and there is trans leak, they beter fix it, was told it was covered but we will see!!!
