back of engine can be.
1: hose crack
2; hose fitting crack
3; bad head gasket.
4:cracked head or block.
5? heater hose or valve?
6: there are many water hose on engines. the one that leaks sure is bad.

near impossible. (we guess,)
On your motor you get welch plugs see if all off them are still okay

That is the timing cover gasket. The coolant goes through the timing cover into the block and there is a gasket between the two, and it is a common problem on the taurus.

More likely the heater hose. Most run back behind the glove box. It could also be a leak in the heater core- normally that would fog the windshield on the inside.
