The intertia switch is located in the trunk, usually on the left side. It trips in an accident.
Your owner manual will also tell you where it is.
You should hear a humming nosie for 3 seconds in the fuel tank if the pump is working. The pump is in the fuel tank. Have someone turn the key on, while you listen carefully under the rear of the car.
It could be a bad fuel pump. Need to drop fuel tank for access.

Usually these are in the trunk. You will see a gap in the trunk carpet and a small button to push.

This is a fuelpump relay. Located in truck where cutout is in carpet. Just push and hold button for a few seconds will do it.

2001 ford taurus is cranking but not starting can your fuel pump totally just go out

yes your fuel pump can go suddenly w/ no warning. check your fuses in fuse box and fuel pump relay under the hood. look at owners manual to see where electric fuel shut off switch is to make sure that did not trip and needs to be reset. could possibly be plugged fuel filter but likley its the pump.

Where is the fuel pump cut off switch?

Refer to your owners manual, if it doesnt show, most ford model fuel pump of switch are located in the passenger kickpanel compatment, If there is a fuse box located under your passenger compartment, look for a red button, and press and hold on it for 15sec, should reset it.

THE ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT WON'T START.IT HAS SPARK

You need to confirm that it is getting fuel to the fuel rail.
A "wild card" suggestion is...there is a safty switch in the trunck that shuts the fuel pump off if someone bumps the rear of your car. Look in the owners manual to find its location, and how to reset it. Other fuel problems could be the pump or fuel pressure regulator are not working

the automatic gas shut off switch is located in the trunk tucked up under the wheel well I think on the left side for that car. you need to feel around for it and press a button on it to reset it.

1999 Taurus turns over but will not start.

I have had the same problem but only when it's hot out. I have changed many components/switches at the direction of many mechanics/parts people. I have just replaced the fuel pump (located in the gas tank) and have yet to experience any problems.
