There is a wireless transmitter that relays tire pressure information back to the computer. replace one on my car, @ 60 dollars, dealer only parts item, at least at that time.

You need a code scanner hooked up to it to find out why that light is on.
If there is an advanced auto or an auto zone near you go there, and ask them if they could retrieve a code or codes for the engine light.That will show what's wrong, and they don't charge, where other places do.
