Where is the knock sensor in a 2006 pt cruisor located?

The knock sensor is located in the lower part of the engine block.
Tighten the knock sensor to 19 N.M (14 lb ft)

Knock Sensor (3.4L VIN E)On lower left rear of engine, below exhaust manifold.

Knock Sensor (Bank 1) (3.8L VIN K)On lower left side of engine, near starter.

I have a 1994 1500 Chevy truck. Can't find the knock sensor. Vortex engine if that matters Removed distributor, not there. Can't find it around the starter or left side

The Knock Sensoris located: Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, front of starter, mounted in engine block .Here's a link to what your knock sensor look's like.

Where is the knock sensor located

This vehical has two knock sensors bank 1 and bank 2 ! bank 2 sensor screws into the side of the engine block closest to the firewall. and it is above the crank sensor. Knock Sensor (KS) Bank 1 sensor is on front side of engine block right of the oil filter and on the other side of knock sensor is the oil pressure sending unit.

There are two knock sensors one for each cylinder bank

Knock Sensor (Bank 1) (3.8L VIN K)On lower left side of engine, near starter.
Knock Sensor (Bank 2) (3.8L VIN K)On lower right side of engine. See Fig. 3

Is there a knock sensor in 1989 caprice classic. If so where is it located. This car has Throttle Body Injection.

The knock sensor screws into the passenger side cylinder head and is also wired into a seperate module on the passenger side fender.

Knocking when i turn right, was told it was cv joint, so changed right handside as thats the side all the noise comes from, but still not stopped knocking. have i changed the wrong side, or is it something...

yes you changed the wrong side if it knocks when you turn right its the left side because turning right shifts all the wait on the left side and puts a load on the joint causing it to knock

Car is knocking

Sounds like a bad connecting rod bearing or a carbon knock, de-carbon the engine and retest for noise, if it is still there the engine will need to be torn down the crank refinished and new bearings installed.

Knock sensor

The knock sensor threads into the side of the cylinder block.
  1. Disconnect electrical connector from knock sensor.
  2. Use a crow foot socket to remove the knock sensors.
INSTALLATION
The knock sensor threads into the side of the cylinder block in front of the starter.

  1. Install knock sensor. Tighten knock sensor to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.) torque. Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control.
  2. Attach electrical connector to knock sensor
