Honda civic boot lock problems roof willnt open

Problem with 1996 Honda Civic Sun roof 2005 chrylser 300 touring opens to vent is this a engine swap or body swap, honda chrysler?
my wild guess,its no honda at all, and
but i have 2 solutions regardless, all cars.
1: the vent control cable is slipped.
2: the vent controls switch or vent motor (acutator) is bad.
all this is covered in the FSM and can get quite complex
why not buy an FSM for your car and read the HVAC sections.

Try having a new key cut using the key code, at a dealer, not tracing the old key.

Was the roof control module disconnected during welding?? If not you likely destroyed it.

your can check is it something stuck in the lock, first operate your roof either way, if you are going to open the roof as a first action boot lid will open to backward, let boot lid fully open and stop operating the roof, ignition off and have a look if something stuck you can see, if you are going to close the roof let close the roof and before close the boot lid stop operating roof switch, otherwise faulty boot lid lock, if faulty lock but you can try by mettle key blade which is in your electronic key, first take out mettle key from electronic key then insert mettle key in to the key hole in boot lid turn fully left and open boot if not work turn fully left and push it in, is this information helped you?

The fuses "LOOK" good, but are they getting POWER? Check ALL of the fuses, even inside fuse panel. Possible ignition switch bad???

USE A SLIMJIM TO RELEASE THE DOOR LOCK,INSIDE THE DOOR, THEN ONCE OPENED YOU CAN PULL THE PANEL OFF AND FIX THE LOCK THE WAY IT SHOULD DE

I dont know wether you have managed to solve your problem with the roof yet, but I have tried sorting out a simular problem. First off all if you need to reset the computor in the boot , to do this remove the 7.5 amp back up fuse under the bonnet for approx 10 seconds. before doing this make sure all locks are in the closed possition. Also make sure the roof mechanism is fully down. Once the fuse is back in and the key is in the ignition the car will go into diagnostic mode for the boot and roof.
The easy way to check the roof locks is to open passenger side and see if the car starts to beep if so close the lock and the beeping should stop this shows all is ok. Now do the same on the drivers side.After doing these checks you will need to reset the computer again with removal of the 7.5 amp fuse for 10 seconds.
Its worth checking the 20 amp fuse for the power door locks this fuse is under the dash board.

Did you check the switch next to the interior light on the roof? Honda's have a switch position that turns off the dome light completely, so it won't work when the doors are opened or not shut tightly. There are 3 positions, dome light on all the time, dome light on only when door is opened, or ajar, and dome light off. I must say, I love Honda's, but I find this switch annoying!
