SOURCE: 1995 nissan sentra remove the dash board

Pick up a Haynes manual. It has helped me a lot! It will give you advice and help walk you through things like removing your dashboard. Mine has helped me SO much! Worth the money to have. I keep mine IN my car. You can also view the manual online through libraries sometimes if you have a library card.

SOURCE: vent knob stuck

Could be a blend door problem under the dash.
If you know for sure the control on the dash is the problem you may have to replace it.

My 2005 Nissan Sentra air flow control dial will not work. Air flow is stuck coming our of the dash vents and will not change to any other location. Help???

on nissan's air vent controls, they use electronic servos already. this may entail that you havta dis assemble half of your dashboard. unless you're quite savvy in doing this and locate each servo in its separate locations in each air vent; i suggest that you bring it in to a shop.

The knob turns on the vent control but it does not change the air

you need to check the control wire is`nt broken most likely come out from flap connection just reconnect and it will work again, check the flap affected for free movement as could be jamming.

Front vents will not work

If they are stuck on defrost, then the problem is a little vaccum line that comes through the firewall as all the climate controls are vaccum controlled,so look for a small green or black plastic line unhooked.

Top vent on the dash does not work on my o4 sunfire

it sound like its one of two things 1 it could be the function control knob on the dash is no good or that the vent/ def. door control motor is no good possibly seized up. the second thong that I would suspect is that the door itself is jammed in the on spot
