'97 Audi A4 windscreen bottle leak.

probably a crack orund where the pump fits in or a faulty rubber grommet. Plastic washer bottles usually crack along the mould line and it is best just to get a new bottle

can be loosing water or not holding pressure[coolant bottle or cap],top gasket,crack in block,oil cooler leaking into coolant,faulty heat gauge or sensor.hope this helps

did they damage the frame around area?

HI, if its under the offside front wing, this is where to windscreen fluid bottle is, sounds like you have a leaking pipe or bottle that expands when warm allowing the water out, could of frozen in the bad weather etc causing a small crack.. if it just the end of the pipe that fits on the water pump, snip it off and push it back on, good luck.

to access the windscreen bottle, you have to take off the front wheel, wheelarch and dicconnect filler tube. Using 10 mm socket take off one bolt holding the bottle. To reinstall take off side indicator to make it easy for you.
for E90 model it is normal to have leak when the bottle is full. the water is coming out from breather on top of bottle. but if the fluid is complately drain, then there's something wrong with it.

how bout tghe bottle or the pump thats attached to it
likely the nottle had watter in it then froze now it has a large crack in it

check lose hoses or the windshield washer fluid bottle for cracks.

Are you sure about not having A/C? My 2003 has factory A/C!

OK more information is needed on the leak.
EXACTLY where do you see it? Inside or out side? What color is it? Dose it have an smell to it?

Now on the light, What light or symbol is lit, get a photo if needed?

A leak in the center of an Audi is generally the AC condensation drain so this is why I need more information. The 2 may be not related.
