Started out with headlights out then the speedometer, odometer, gas gauge, oil, battery, rpm's are not working, fixed the headlight was a fuse but other stuff still won't work.

instrument cluster repair - bad stepper motors that control the gauges. there is a regulator for the display brightness, you may have it turn'd down or it has stopped working;. it controls the brightness at which the dash lights are. usually has a speedo sign on it. goes up and down. it works with the main light and is conecter to them on the same lighting board if it has gone then a new light swtch control switch will be needed.
I'm having a problem with my 1998 dodge ram all of my gauges read 0 before cranking it over all gauges work when cranked over accept my speedometer...odometer and my gas gauge goes to 3/4 full and stays there...im wandering if the speed sensor is causing the fuel gauge to stick along with the ABS light check engine light and break light..any answers?
there are more wires that you cannot see that are melted that is causing the problem. trace all of your wires, starting with the license plate light, all the way to the headlights
You said it was raining? It pays to have a look at the fuse box near the battery and check the fuses and connections for any trace of oxidation. I will suggest to have a chat to your local electrician.
