Bad ingition switch, how to Bypass till replaced

1992 chevy what ? TBI fuel ingition , Port fuel ingition ? what size engine ?

Standard or automatic transmission? Why do you want to bypass it?

There is a white wire in the steering columb ( i cant spell ) that you can cut and it will bypass it... there is a video on youtube showing how to do it

need more info, do you have lights? radio work? if everything seems to be functioning but nothing happens when you turn the key, i would say its your VATS system, very easy to bypass, just look it up on TGO

If it is a bad starter, there is no way to bypass it since this is the only part that cranks the engine from a standstill. Bad starters may just have bad terminals, or connectors or if the motor has gone bad you may need to replace it.

Key Lock or electrical switch? I'll guess the electrical switch...you need to drop steering post to get to it. You can find instructions in most any manual...If no manual, beware of yellow wire it triggers air bag!!! Disconnect battery before doing work and know if your radio needs a code to get it working again before you start! It's not a terribly hard job unless you don't like working in tight places and have no patience.

Bad ignition switch, you might be able to replace just the switch contacts on the back of the ignition tumbler.
