You may just need to reset your throttle sensor. There is no hard connection between the gas pedal and the engine its electronic. To reset :
All auxiliary systems must be off (radio, lights.aircon, etc) no
electrical drains or CAN signals can be triggered during the process.
Turn the Key to the "on" position (the position right before you start your engine)
Press and hold your gas pedal down for 5-10 seconds
Turn Key to "off" position (dont remove the key) and then release the gas pedal. than wait 2 minutes, for the system to reset. Again without touching anything or having anything on.
Thats should do it. When you replace the battery you usually have to do the radio code, yaw steering sensor, throttle and sometimes transmission. On my last battery just had to do the radio but was expecting to do all.

You probably had the tires balanced off the car. You should have them road force balanced, on a Hunter machine.
