Warning light at right side of display panel - take car to dealer

2003 Toyota Camry with 36,000 miles. Manual lists a host of possibilities including empty gas tank (no!), loose gas cap (no!), electronic problems with engine or warning light system. Are there are other things I could check myself besides the gas tank and gas cap/ Car runs fine. No extended warranty so cost is a concern.

If its your check engine light, have it scanned for free at a place like AutoZone and post the code here. Your manual will show you what a check engine light looks like, or any other symbol your can has.

Did you have the vehicle scanned for codes?
If so what were the codes?
Gas cap has to be pressure tested. Looking fine is not gonna cut it.
If you didn't have the vehicle scanned go to Autozone they will do it free. Then get back to me and we will take it from there.

My 2008 Camry was running fine, no warning lights on. Came out of the grocery store and it would not start, all the lights game on but it acted is if the battery was low. Got a jump start, drove two blocks...

It may be that the battery is bad where it won't take a charge from the alternator so it should be checked for that using test equipment, most autoparts stores like Autozone, Kragen, Advance Auto provide this service at no charge, since it's an 08 there is a chance that it may still be covered under the toyota factory which is 3yrs/36,000 miles for electrical parts.

check your owners manual it should list the routine maint. and intervals if not call another dealers service center and ask what they suggest as 36,000 mile service. see if the cost is similar and you have your answer. hope this helps

The red triangle warning light just came on. What does it mean?

All it means is 5000 miles have passed since the oil change reminder was reset. You can reset it your self. Look in the Camry Hyrbid Owners Manual on Page 148 for the Resetting the engine oil maintenance data procedure. Make sure you have the A trip odometer showing when you follow along.

Is it possible to be without oil in the engine and no lights on advising this in a toyota camry 2007 with 77000 miles?

There should be lights warning you about it. Check the oil often. If you run it without oil, well, you may blow the cylinders and pistons.

Same thing happened to me

Toyota vehicles, that are under the 3 year/36,000 mile window, have the visors covered under wattanty. They are NOT 'wear and tear' items. Brakes and clutches are 'wear and tear' items. 3
