SOURCE: I have a 87 plymouth voyager Le with a 3.0 engine ( not sure if its stock or not )

You should have a fuel pump relay you can check on firewall or fender with other relays in the area. Check part #'s, on relays, sometimes they will swap for testing if same number.

SOURCE: need wireing digran for 1996

When the ECM is replaced you need to have it reprogrammed. It may run the engine for a bit but there are t many variables to keep it going. Some auto parts stores are doing this now. call around. Much cheaper than a dealer. If you had it reprogrammed then you need to check the codes. This will give a direction to go.

Some of the diagrams you can get from places like autozone online, or research the particular component online. Things like body components may require you to buy a shop manual.

SOURCE: MY PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER 'S HEADLIGHT'S AND DASH LIGHTS WORK, BUT THE ENGINE WON'T TURN OVER. THERE IS NO SPARK COMING FROM THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.

When you say no spark, are you talking about the spark plugs, or just the general wiring?

If the engine won't turn over, then it isn't moving, and if it isn't moving then you need to check the following in this order:

1) Does the battery have power i.e. around 12.4 volts or over? No? Charge, test or replace battery.

2) Do the car's head lights dim considerably if turned on when attempting to crank? Yes? Possible lack of battery charge or faulty battery.

3) Assuming the battery is fine, can you turn the dash warning lights on and off with the key? No? Faulty ignition switch.

4) Is there a click sound when you turn the key, but no starter motor spin? Check starter motor connections or replace starter motor.

If none of the above prove to be of help, then please report.

2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager having issues starting

i would think that you need to look for a leak, there are rubber hoses attached to your steel lines under your van and in the engine compartment, as well as your fuel pump. start your van with the parking brake applied, and tires blocked, then you can trace your fuel lines out, just remember if you dont see a wet spot that doesnt mean theres no leak, your looking for dry rotted hose. what could be causeing a starting delay could be that its sucking air, and if your fuel pump is under the hood, then the fuel line going from the fuel tank to the front is a suction hose, if you have a fuel pump in the fuel tank the that line is a pressure hose. hope this helps

How do you remove a fuel pump on a 97 plymouth grand voyager

    • 1 Make sure the engine is completely cool. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Elevate the vehicle and support the fuel tank with a jack.
    • 2 Disconnect the fuel line from the front of the tank. Remove the ground strap, the inboard side fuel tank straps and the front T-strap fastener, then lower the tank approximately six inches.
    • 3 Take the fuel lines from the fuel pump module. Plug the fuel lines with golf tees to prevent the spillage of gasoline. Remove the fuel filter.
    • 4 Install the new fuel filter. Set the bolts in place and torque them to 40 inch/pounds. Tighten the main tank straps to 40 foot/pounds and the T-strap to 250 inch lbs.
    • 5 Reconnect the fuel lines in the reverse order of their removal. Lower the vehicle. Connect the negative battery cable.
    • 6 Start the engine and let it run for several minutes. Inspect the fuel lines for any leaks.

1999 grand voyager le how do i replace fuel filter

Hello,

To replace the fuel filter of Your 1999 grand voyager, please follow the steps below, You will be in need of these instruments, Line wrench set, 3/8-inch ratchet and socket set, Replacement fuel filter kit.
  1. Park the 1999 Grand Voyager in a ventilated area and engage the emergency brake,
  2. Walk to the back of the 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager and completely unscrew the gas cap from the fill neck on the gas tank. Taking the cap off will remove the pressure in the fuel filter.
  3. Jack the back of the 1999 Grand Voyager up and put the jack stands under the rear jack points. Slowly release the jack so that the van is sitting evenly and securely on the jack stands.
  4. Slide under the passenger-side rear of the van behind the tire. Locate the fuel filter that is mounted to the upper part of the gas tank. This type of fuel filter has three fuel lines coming out of it.
  5. Position the drip pan under the gas tank in the general vicinity of the fuel filter. Using a clean rag, compress the fuel lines on the ends. The fuel lines are held to the fuel filter by a plastic clip. Compressing the end of the fuel line will unlock the fuel line from the clip. Pull out on the fuel lines. Do this to all three of the fuel lines.
  6. Remove the bolt from the fuel filter bracket with the 3/8-inch drive ratchet and a 3/8-inch drive socket. Then, pull the fuel filter out of the bracket and put it into the drip pan.
  7. Position the new fuel filter into the bracket. Screw the mounting bolt in and tighten it down tight with the ratchet and socket.
  8. Push all three fuel lines onto the appropriate fuel filter ports. Hook the fuel lines to the same fuel filter ports that they were hooked to on the old filter.
  9. Pull the drip pan out from under the van. Screw the gas cap back onto the fill neck of the gas tank until it clicks. Then, turn the ignition key on and off five different times. Crank the engine on the fifth turn of the ignition. Inspect the new fuel filter for leaks while the engine is running. Then, turn the engine off.
  10. 1999 Grand Voyager back up and pull the jack stands out from under the van. Lower the van back to the ground and slide the jack out.
Hope this helped. Thank You for using FixYa!!!

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2000 chrysler grand voyager 3.3 liter v6

Commonly the fuel filter is in the tank and is good for 100k miles. You can call your local part store for a fuel filter listing but they will probably tell you that there isn't one.

Where is the fuel filter located on 1999 plymouth Grand voyager?

The Fuel Filter should be located above the Fuel Tank on the right side of the Van. You do not have to completely remove the tank, but lower the right side of the tank only.
Of Course: No Smoking or Heat Sources.
Have a Fire Extinguisher on the "ready" (within reach with the pin pulled, and nozzle pointed).
Use goggles to protect gas splash. Do in a well ventilated area.
Raise and support the rear of the Van.
Disconnect the negative side of the Battery.
Remove the Fuel Cap to relieve any pressure in the system.
Use a hydraulic jack with a flat and balanced piece of wood to support the tank while slightly lowering and raising the fuel tank.
Loosen, BUT DO NOT REMOVE the Front Strap Bolt and then the Right Side Bolts. These should be 13mm and 15mm bolts. Lower the hydraulic jack slightly to gain clear access to the fuel filter and hoses fittngs.
The fuel filter is attached to a brace with a 10-mm bolt. Disconnect the fuel hose located near the front right of the tank first.
Disconnect the two filter to pump hose lines. Take note of how these hoses are attached, you don't wnat to reverse these.
Reinstalling is reverse order of above.

Changing fuel pump on chrysler 2000 grand voyager

you have to drop the gas tank out from under the vehicle. You must first drain as much gas out of the tank as you can. Then support the tank with a jack. Preferably with a large plate. Then remove the retaining straps. If you can remove any of the fuel lines and fill nozzle before lowering please do. If you cannot, lower the tank until access to wiring harness and fuel line disconnects can be made. With a special fuel line tool remove lines and harness and anything else that may hinder the removal on the tank. Once the tank is out from under the vehicle remove as much dust and debris as you can fom the top of the unit. Remove the retaining ring using a hammer and a punch, or screwdriver. Once the retaining ring has been removed carefully remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank. be careful not to damage the float. replace pump in the reverse order above.
