Disconnect the camshaft cover grounding strap.Right side of engine.
Remove ignition module, 4 bolts , and disconnect the electrical connection to it. Pull straight up to remove.
Remove 4 spark plugs.
Remove the coolant pipe bracket.
Remove the fuel line bracket.
Remove the 12 bolts holding down the cover, then pry up around the edges GENTLY to remove. You might want to use a rubber mallet at this stage, just don't overdo hitting it, its cast aluminum..
The gasket around the edge and around the spark plug holes don't need sealant, the new design does away with this.
Now would be a good time to check the wear on the Teflon timing chain shield between the camshaft sprockets.
Installation is in reverse order.
Camshaft cover bolts : Tighten to 89 INCH pounds.
Camshaft Ground Strap Bolt : 89 INCH pounds.
Spark Plugs : 15 FOOT pounds.
Ignition coil to camshaft cover bolts : 71 INCH pounds.
Coolant pipe AND Fuel line bracket bolts: 89 INCH pounds.

Could be burning it through the exhaust,due to a blown gasket ,get someone to rev it up while you stand at the back and check if any water comes out the pipe.
Remove the body harness for the exhaust closet to the dounut. this should give you enoun slack to move the pipe. Assuming your clamp bolts will loosen. Loosen bolts on the doughnuts clamp. remove the clamp. Then pry the tail pipe away from the manifold and remove the old dougnut gasket. Spray it down with WD-40 and wire brush it clean. Insert new dougnut gasket and tighten new clamps down around it.
If the bolts on the clamps are rusted to bladly to loosen then cut off with a reciprcating saw or a hi speed cutting disc. Just becareful not to cut into the exhaust pipe or yourself.
What kind of diagram are you wondering about? If you just take off the three nuts that hold the pipe to manifold, you should be able to pull the pipe down enough to get the doughnut gasket out. If not then unfortunatly you will have to remove both sides. Hope this helps you out in your task.
Sounds like your head gasket has gone bad. you may have noticed white smoke comeing out of the exhust. do not run this engine without changeing the oil or you will destroy the engine, and if the head gasket is leaking it will dump water or antifreeze into the oil again.you can take a compression check on the engine to tell you what head gasket is bad.
check where the headers come off of the engine exhaust leaks are generally quite loud and you will either be at the headers/exhaust manifold or just as you come off that bend there will be a flange gasket inside the two pipes joining. from the bend to the straight pipe just as it passes the gearbox and starts to straighten out.
You have a bad head gasket. You are leaking coolant into the engine block through the cylinders. This is why you have white smoke, and the extra coolant that doesnt get burned off is going into your oil.

usually the ones in the exhaust manifolds where the pipe attaches go bad . there is a metal sleeve that goes inside the donut be sure to use these or the donuts will burn out pretty fast. use a generous amount of penetrating oil on the bolts first they get pretty rusted on these .
