My check light is on after the car runs about 25 to 30 miles it shakes a shimmies when im at a stop light like it wants to stall. and often it does in the past i found that the hose that goes to the airfilter to engine was disconnected but i replaced them with ring clamps. cleaned intake sensor took it all apart still happens need ur help please

sounds like EGR valve and sensor this controls idle speed when at a stop. the po171 is a burn lean or rich code need to know what bank 1 or 2. also check for a vacuum leak from one of the hoses.

Unfortunately there are several things that code could mean. Unless you still have the number code, it's hard to say. What is not hard to say is that, Ford should have caught that and addressed it in the immediate repair. Sounds like they got all the easy stuff in hopes that you would come back and spend more money. If there is a "check engine" light on, there is an issue and should be checked out and repaired. My first call would be to the Service manager of the dealer and kindly explain the issue that the technician MISSED. If he can't do anything, talk to the General manager.
