You will see a flashing red light for a pats system chipped key and on your key you will see a little square insert where the key blade enters the plastic the you hold to turn the key

you do have a chip but its inside the key and you have to have a locksmith program you a new key or the dealership but the dealer will cost alot compared to the locksmith

I have never heard of a chip key ever being available for a rondo. You can just swap out the old cylinder and put in the new.
