I have a 2002 automatic chevy tracker, it ran into a block built fence wall last year (2012) and got the throttle position sensor broken. A glue was used to fix the broken part. The car oerfomance has changes recently. It will shift from first to second after it has travelled for more than 15 kms. It can not speed and very slow. what must I do.

This is actually an easy swap out. Remove the electrical connection, remove the retaining bolt and pull out old one. I believe the sensor is located in the front passenger side of the engine on this particular model.

the two bolts that hold the sensor are torqued to 18 inch pounds. other than that it's self adjusted through the ecm

It is located in the large hose coming from the air filter it just pulls out

Find where the throttle cable goes the the throttle body. Now on the opposite side of the throttle body is the TPS 3 wires/plug.

ur computer probably wont show anything ur tranny problem can be anything fron needing a filter changed to vacuum problem to torque converter check the fluid for level if low fill up- before filling look and smell fluid it should be reddish in color not brownish [fluid burnt]if it smells burnt- need trans service can be just a filter and flush ,bad sensor-actuator or rebuild
