I have a 2008 Audi A6. The fuel switch doesn't seem to be releasing the door. Is there any way to manually open the fuel door?

1.  Check your owner's manual.  I'm not sure if it's the same as in my 2001 A6 4.2, but there should be a pin you can pull in the trunk that will disable the lock mechanism in your fuel door.  In my 2001, there was a red loop you pull in the right rear of the trunk, behind the cover panel.  My owner's manual references this pin in case of central locking failure.  You may need to dig around behind the subwoofer to find it.

AUDI A6 WINDOW PROBLEMS

This is a common problem with the C5 A6 models. Before you replace the fuse for the windows (I think it's number 14, but i don't have a manual in front of me - Anyway, it's the 10A fuse that's blown!) Look under the back of both front seats and you'll see a light that illuminates the floor for the back seats. Rem ove the light from each seat by prying it out with a flat screwdriver and disconnect both leads. Replace the fuse, and your windows (moon roof and interior lights as well) should now work. The lumbar support causes something to short out the lights. I've tried insulating the lights on mine, but the problem always comes back so I just disconnected them altogether.

Fuses are located by the side of the dash board when you open the driver's door. The fuel pump fuse is situated in there.
