Reset service engine soon light

Hi, I have a 1998 mercedes benz e320, i have my oil changed at a neighborhood garage instead of the dealer. Now the service engine soon light is on, I have been told that local garages dont know how to reset the light when they perform oil changes. Is this possible to reset the service engine soon light yourself. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

Oil change might not have they obd2 tester to shut
the light go to auto parts chain store like autozone
tell shut it up for you for free

    Autozone will not reset it for you any more. I have a 98 Mercury Sable and I took the ground cable from the battery for about 5 minutes the computer resets itself.

You can take the car back to Mercedes Benz they should reset the oil change light and get all the radio codes for you for free. They don't suppose to charge you!!!!
