Buzzing noise when trying to start 2000 s40 volvo

The humming is the fuel pump still on while vehicle is off,did someone work on your car recently,cos this sounds like symptoms of a fuel pump that has been connected directly.

A weak battery will make the "clicking" sound you hear, also bad connections, loose battery cables or worn battery cables. Jump start the car to see if it cranks, if it does, charge or replace battery.

the shock sensor is mounted under the dash and is sometimes part of alarm box or separate unit, look for module under the dash and trace wires, it separate box it is often tie wrapped of a set screw, box it 1x1 to 2x2 box usually 3 wires, often attached to steering column or metal strut

Have you had the rear disk brake pads checked? You may have a worn out pad that is causing this noise.

Hey, maybe the engine is just too small for big hill's :) but u can try to chance air filter and fuel filter and overlook the spark plugs (when it's a petrol engine)

check intercooler pipes for splits or holes dont think turbo is at fault you must check pipes carefully remove if you have to to check

a scraping noise upon application and if you have alloys the you can view the pads easily to see how much material is left

start at 45 ft lbs then 65 then 85

Volvo 2000 S40. Fantom starting problem. Went to the starter and has no power to soliniod. Will start for weeks then nothing.
