The Batt does not have a full charge or it is the wrong cranking AMP's for the car... find out if it is the right Batt and also that it is put on a "slow charge" over night or at least 6 hr's

SOURCE: starter clicking replaced and still doing same thing

Check your battery to make sure it has enough power and cranking amps to turn that starter and flywheel.  Make sure that your cables are good and move them around to see if that helps. Sometimes those cables can break and corrode inside the outer covering and you can't see it which makes it hard to diagnose. Clean your battery posts and cables. Also another thing you can try is starting in neutral or rolling your car back a few feet to allow it release some tension and hopefully free up allowing it to crank over easier. When you replaced the starter did you make sure to slide it in place and tighten it down good? Did you use shims to allow proper clearance room?...

Check to see if your ground is connected real good where it attaches to the block. Have had this happen to me many times and it always gets me. It sounds like a dead battery or starter but it wasn't. Make sure the cable to the soleinoid is good as well as connections to it as well, they could be loose. As far as the owners manual, email me at [email protected] with your make model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. No worries no cost. I hope this helps and good luck.

It sounds like your alternator may be bad and is not charging the battery. You can get it tested at Auto Zone.

Honda element problemsi have a 2003 awd.the rear tires are getting worn on the inside and it looks as if the rear wheels sit at an angle with the top tilting into the car.have replaced struts and...

Probably just needs an alignment. Also.............your tires will wear more evenly if you keep the tire pressure at 35PSI in all 4 tires. I don't know why but, that seems to be the best tire pressure to run on Elements.

The starter selinoid is on top of the starter. This engages the starter when you turn the car over. Did the starter you bought have a selinoid on it?

2008 wrangler only clicks- won't start

I kind of wonder about those security gadgets but there is a starter lockout in the gearshift assembly. The neutral start switch and keyswitch are linked by a rod in the steering column. If the solenoid clicks it is suppose to mean everything is lined up. Then it would mean a BAD solenoid is not connecting the starter after the click.
But the neutral start has other terminals that are moved internally. If you do not get it fixed this trip and it does this again, try starting in neutral instead of P. Good Luck

Jeep just clicks when trying to start vechiocle. Replaced starter and battery. Does it mostly when jeep has been running for a while.

Clean battery clamps and make sure they are tight. Make sure electrical connections on starter are tight.
