How do I reset the fuel gauge on a 2003 Cadillac cts

You take it to a qualified repair shop , no reset . They will hook up a factory scan tool an check fuel level sensor input data to the PCM- engine computer an input to instrument cluster . The sending unit in the fuel tank could be bad or the instrument cluster gauge is . GM had problems with stepper motors inside the instrument cluster , these stepper motors control the gauge ,fuel , temp , etc... 2003 to 2006

How to reset allreadouts such as trip miles and all that can be reset

There should be two buttons associated with your readouts, NORMALLY one will change the readout, trip miles, fuel usage, etc, the other is normally for changing from imperal to metric (miles to kilometers) on MOST vehicles if you put it on the trip miles screen and hold down both buttons for a few seconds it will reset, some vehicles will even beep to let you know that you have reset your readouts.

Is there a fuel pump reset switch on a 1996 chev s10 and if so, where is it located?

the only manufacturer that uses an intertia switch for the fuel pump is Ford. This style of switch [needs to be reset after a collision by pressing a button.

GM does not use this type of system to stop the fuel pump.

If you know what your missing I can help you further (not power to the pump, power to the pump, low fuel pressure, etc)

Took a road trip topped off fuel half way home emissions light went on after i got home

Stop by a local parts store look Autozone, Advance, etc & have them reset your light (they do this Free) I suspect you got some cheap fuel. If light comes back on, get rescanned and address what codes identify as problem - IE: O2 sensor, etc...
