Radio Code My boyfriend recently removed my stereo from my Chevy Aveo and replaced it with another. Well, I am about to sell my car and when we put it back in, it wouldn't work. I know that I need a code, but I do not know where to find it. Can anyone help? my radio works but i lost the code. i need to replace the battery, so i need the proceedure to display my current code before i disconect the battery. Any answers?

Code radio aveo 2017
Not sure about aveo but I have seen where sometime they will put code in owners manual and put sticker with the code on them in the glovebox or may have to remove glovebox or look in trunk I have even heard some vehicles put sticker on the fuse box covers. May have to get radio serial number and get code from dealer.

There is only 2 options.

1. Your radio code is in your paperwork for your car (Its on a hard plastic card) Find it.

2. Take your registration to Vin and Ser Number for your radio to your local dealer.

These codes are a guarded secret and no one code fits all.

I had to replace battery cable--radio now does not work without "code" --anti theft code supposedly either put in by factory or previous owner (i bought it used at car dealer), local chev dealer could not find code and was no help. am i the only one that has this problem?? other than buying new radio what can i do? thanks![/QUOTE]

get the serial number from the radio and the vin number from the car and call to the delaer and ask for service deparmet with this number you should be hable to get the code
