I have 1998 Chevy Malibu and my service soon light is on. My instrument lights are not work, my break lights are not working in the rear now the running lights however the third breaklight works along with my blinkers in the rear. I have checked the fuses and everything looks good
Check the STOP- HAZ fuse with a 12 volt test ( both ends )
why not BUY atest light instaed of POSSIBLY WASTING money ?
a test light will be the BEGINNING, in your attempt to correct this problem with a minimal amount of grief and expense. Little tough to repair a car over the computer , but I keep on trying.
2 separate problems. Lets get the lights 1st

The Tail lights and Instrument lights are usually on the same circuit so both will go out if the fuse for the circuit blows. Check for a blown fuse for this circuit and replace if out. If fuse continues to fail, check the tail light or side globes for a faulty globe and replace if necessary. Also check for any chafed wires that could be shorting to the body causing the fuse to blow.

I don't have a test but I will run to the store and purchase new fuses. Will this work.
I've changed the fuses and now I having the same issue
I will probably purchase the tester for future projects
I'll borrow a test light from a friend. I went to Autozone and they didn't see any errors. However, the are unable to ready the service soon light. So they were no help.
