The cruise control on my Honda Odyssey is not working. The light for the Master cruise control button turns on, but the speed falls when you remove your foot from the pedal.
No year stated, wow.
the first checks are not the CRUISE.
they are:
1: all fuses good.
2: CEL lamp out driving, if not the PCM will in fact cut Cruise function ( preventing TOYOTA SYNDROME)
3: scan tool do a full PCM scan, got errors. got DTCs, bingo.
today cruise is the last to work, (a very serious safety issue)

Make sure the cable from the cruise control motor to throtle is not broken or unattached.

couple things could had appened first the cruise control module or cru may have went out could be a malfuntion in the with some speed sensors or the vaccum lines have gotten to dry rotted to do the job necessary to maintain the speed

Try pulling up the brake pedal with your foot,Sometimes your brake doesnt come back all the way,and the brake switch keeps the cruise from working. Also, check the fuse.If those answers dont help,It could be the swith itself is bad. Those can be bought at a parts store.

if this problem only happens when the eco light is on, then you prob have a bad rear engine mount. these vans have active front and rear engine mounts. when the engine is in VCM mode(operating on 3cyl) the front and rear engine mounts control the engine vibrations. when the rear one goes bad it connot control the engine vibrations. the rear mount can be visually inspected for failure(if its resting on itself), or on a test drive with the active noise control turned off. or engine brake torquing.
