SOURCE: what year is a chevy 2.8 v6 suffix code uck

You will need to contact the parts dept of the local dealer for this inf, we do not have it. But having worked for GMC I seem to remember 1980 as the year it was introduced.

I have a chevy 350 4 bolt main with suffix code ce4329 can anyone tell. Me what year, and horespower this engine came with.

I went google and typed in-- 350 chev engine suffix number ce 4329 and found a page chev-camero.com>chevy-camaro
listed is a ceu--1980--350--190 hp
these 4 bolt main blocks were sold here as bedford truck engines ( 5 ton trucks) as they had a slightly longer stroke which gave a better torque rating for heavy loads
They were popular as street engines, because they gave better power bands that could only be got by regrinding the crank to gain more cubic inches( longer stroke ) a 350 engine and adding special head gaskets for the piston protrusion above the block
Along with good cams , the 4 bolt main negated the need for expensive main modification to handle the extra power
anyway go to that site and navigate around and you may find the information you want

What size engine is code VO516UZ?

This will not tell you what size the engine is. What you have here is a build date of the engine and the suffix it was built to. The V is the plant , the o516 is the month and day of the build and the plant build chart put the UZ parts on the engine. What year is this and is it a chev truck with a v/8 engine. If so you can look up the uz engine and it will give you the size of the engine. Looks to me like this is an older truck maybe built in Flint at
v8 engine.

Thanks for the help I just noticed my typo my casting numbers are 3858180 my apologies the engine is a 1965 327 I just cant seem to find what kind of car it was put in if anyone has any suggestions on were...

"You need to get the suffix code off the front pass side, on pad in front of the head. It will be a code thats 6, 7 or 8 digits long. The 1st one will be a letter, next 4 will ne bumbers and last 1, 2, or 3 will be letters.. Like say V0621KH. V0621 if the prefix which tells plant, mo. and day, KH would be the suffix code which tells engine size, HP, induction system, and car it was used in Your 3858180 is not a vin #, it's the casting number and no it does not decode as a corvette. The casting # does not tell what car it was installed in. Its just the size and year range. That # is added before the engine was ever thought of being built and installed. 3858180....327...1964-67...2 bolt main thats all the casting number decodes as."

Motor swap

The actual engine would be close to the same if the year and engine size are. It would depend on the difference in year and size for the components. A salvage yard would be able to tell you for sure.

I would like to identify a block # of 1m0525 5vp.

from what i find , the format of the number is incorrect. Engine ID Code Example: V0107CLJ i can find meanings of the "m0525" but nothing on the first 1. and the suffix code is 3 letters. so from what i worked out, the "m" would be from the mexico plant. and the "0525" would be the engine build date, may 25th, no year stamp. the "5vp" is what's got me. there's only 4 suffix codes i found that start with numbers and none are 5vp. the closest i found on just the "vp" without the "5" would be a "vr" listed as a 350 1969 with 4 barrel carb out of a c-20 or c-30. the closest i could find for "5vp" would be "suf" and there were 2. both listed as 305's 1984. one out of a monte carlo and one out of a firebird.
