you have activated the theft deterrent feature of your radio, u will need the code that came with the owners packet when the car was sold, if u don't have that u will need to pull the radio out and get the model and serial number off the radio and go to the dealer who can supply this unique code for your car from the Honda data base on your car when it was sold.

yes , open the compartment at passenger side. inside you will see a code. Shut off the radio and put the radio on , the screen will tell you code , put in that number and it will work
SOURCE: disconnected battery can not get the radio working
if it is a radio with a security code you will need to enter the code ( sould be in manual for radio or on a card that comes with radio)

I held down preset 1 and 6 while turning on the radio. The display then said "CODE." I punched in the 4-digit code (found on the side of the passenger side glove box) using the preset buttons, and viola! the stereo came back on.

This was happening with the Honda radio but I replaced that radio with a non-Honda radio and still have the problem.
After the sound goes out on the radio I am able to listen to my ipod or a cd
well that means the speakers, the main amp and pre-amp are good, and it only the radio section, so does both AM and FM fail on all channels. did you can all frequencies? if they are all dead the antenna is bad. you can test this simply ( id do this on a work bench before install ) i take a 12v insulated, wire, and strip the end, bare , 2inches, and fold this end in 1/2 making wire thicker, then insert it in to the antenna socket, BINGO, a working antenna. or use a spare antenna off a wrecked car. I also have just the end of an old antenna lead, cut off the cable and use it for my 12foot test antenna.
typo, did you scan all frequencies, did you ? AM/FM , this is not a SAT radio.!
bench test: 12v battery, radio, antenna and 2 speakers, done deal, it's good or bad, ?
